Puerto Rico is a country ...as much as Wales and Scotland are. It just isnt an independent nation. Equatorial Guinea has Spanish as an official language, but it's not Spanish-speaking in the same sense as the Latin American nations are.

@chriskotx: In Sporcle terms, the term country is used to mean nation-state, which PR is not.

If I were you, I'd use this page as a source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_where_Spanish_is_an_official_language It may be wikipedia but it's a pretty well sourced page. Puerto Rico could be a bonus, as could Argentine and Chilean Antarctica, as well as those listed as countries where it's a commonly used language.
