| I agree with Neostinker, I believe the French only use le/la/l' when there's actually a preposition, or where it is common. For instance it is The Netherlands, and therefore Le Pays-bas, but it's just Germany, so in French just Allemagne.
Another thing, Great Britain isn't Le Royaume-uni, Le Royaume-uni translates into the United Kingdom (Of Great Britain etc.) Great Britain is the island on which Wales, Scotland and England lie.
Last thing: Sweden is not La Suisse, that's Switzerland. Sweden should be la Suède.
