Great job, really well done - Definitely five-star quality.

Very good, but I have a hard time believing that ie. Chattanooga and Fort Smith doesn't extend over state borders. Probably Fargo and Dubuque too, but maybe they're all too small.

Good quiz! Though I disagree with some of the states. There is no part of PA that's part of the NYC suburbs (CT, perhaps, but definitely not PA). Same difference with WV for Washington, DC, and MD for Philadelphia. Other than that, good quiz.

Not necessarily true Radiation... there are definitely suburbs of NYC in Pennsylvania... Easton, PA is just over an hour away for example, and there are DC commuter trains that run into West Virginia. http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/marc/schedulesSystemMaps/marcTrainSystemMap.cfm

You should include (at least as bonuses) U.S. metro areas that include cities in other countries (San Diego/Tijuana; El Paso/Ciudad Juarez; Detroit/Windsor).

A couple of these are a real stretch. I checked the map on Boston because I've driven from there through New Hampshire and didn't believe that one. There are several forests between Boston and New Hampshire. Boston should not be on here. I like the quiz idea, but it should be corrected.

No, Radiation is right. NYC = tri-state area = NY. NJ. CT. End.

To be clear, the states indicated are based on each city's Metropolitan Statistical Area as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. @cuendillar: You're right, these certainly aren't the ONLY metropolitan areas that extend across state lines, but beyond Omaha the cities started getting pretty small & obscure, so I decided against continuing. @MileHiJo: a good idea that i didn't think of. I have add those as bonus answers (I can't think of any other examples worth adding as bonuses...)

Lyn, I think Boston counts for NH. Cities in NH like Salem are definitely considered suburbs of Boston, with commuters going into the city every day. Good quiz!

I was disappointed that you didn't include all of them, but I understand why you didn't. I think I'll make that quiz next month.

It would seem that the El Paso area would reach into New Mexico since the city is on the state border though the metro area may not be large enough to make this list.

Buffalo would be a good bonus as well.

Should accept "Norfolk" for Virginia Beach. Otherwise, great quiz!
