	'e' was the only one I missed as well. I also had issues with 'l'. Kind of got lucky with 'k' and 'p' as those happened to be the first words that popped into my head.

	I would think "put" is more commonly used than "people" in English. But it's very possible I'm just bitter, because almost ALL of the other 2- and 3-letter words I entered were correct.

	That's because "was" is a past tense of "be," and as the note says: "Closely-related words, such as run/runs/ran/running/runner, are treated as being the same word."

	@4thandinches: different sources use different counting methods, different text corpuses, etc, so don’t agree on all details. The source for this quiz is the Oxford English Dictionary’s list, at http://oxforddictionaries.com/page/oecfactslanguage/the-oec-facts-about-the-language — and this has even in at 91, and each not in the top hundred.

	Hi, I think "put" is one of the most used words in the English language - moreso than people. Think of the all the phrasal verbs with put (put up, put off, put up with, put down etc.)

	I quickly got them all apart from P and K which in my defense are the least guessed! A less time consumming game than the other commonest words game where you have to guess them all individually!

	@pangloss: The instructions say that the list only contains the top 100 words. Therefore, Q, R, V, X, and Z did not make the list because none of the words in the top 100 begin with those letters.
