How is Hanley Ramirez not on the SS list? Definitely better than Jeter

Hanley is a 3B now. Jeter being on here is awful, though. Should be behind both Andrus and Peralta.

I understand that you didn't create the list, but Ryan Braun, eligible to play a maximum of 112 games this season, is more valuable at the position than every other left fielder in the game?

This is pretty much the list I would expect from bleacher report. Not nearly enough research done on who is actually good. Way too much of "Well I heard his name on ESPN a lot" kind of guys on here.

So, I guess these are fantasy rankings...otherwise Yadier Molina would have to be in the Top 5 catchers.

Whatever bleacherreport.com is, they clearly don't know what they're doing (and are probably based in NY). Jeter is not in the top 15 shortstops, and only a Yankee fan would think Cano is better than Pedroia

Bleacher Report is a platform for amateur writers. Huge emphasis on the word amateur. Just opinionated sports fans in my viewing.

Actually for BRep this isn't that bad of a list. There are certainly a number of points you could argue over but it's not like they butchered the thing. @swills13 I know the title is "for the 2012 season but obviously they mean "right now," and aren't factoring in the 50 gm suspension. I think we can give them a break on that.

bleacher report is garbage and this list helps prove that, hanley ramirez is one of the few 5 tool players in the mlb and hes not even a top 5 3b?

If Crawford is the fifth best left fielder in baseball, then that position is going to have a historically weak season in 2012.

CanadaMaidenFan: I'm not a Yankee fan, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd take Cano over Pedroia. It's close, but the edge goes to Cano.

Accept just "Crawford" and next time don't use Bleacher Report as a source. It's the Wikipedia of the sports world. I still gotta get used to seeing "MIA" instead of "FLA"!

Anyone who is retarded enough to write for a content farm should not have their wrong opinions used on a quiz. Go back to your awful site.

how is jeter not first. i mean he is the leader of a team that wins 95+ every year and hits great every season. jeter is without a doubt the greatest ss in mlb history. i bet no one can name someone better, that being said i have no idea why a-rod is on this list

first off derek jeter isn't a bum. he is one of the clutchest players of all time. i'm sorry if u think that he sucks because he doesn't hit 40 homeruns every year. derek jeter led the league in hits so if he is a bum that means everyone else is crap. dj= best ss ever, name one better. if u say cal ripken jr. u r an idiot

Derek Jeter is a hall of fame player, but he's not the greatest SS of all time. For one thing, his defense has always been subpar. Honus Wagner is the greatest SS of all time, and it's not even really close. Calm down there, Yankeefan, and do a little research into your baseball history.

McCann and Napoli being 1 and 2 and Yadi not in top 5? Andrus not being top 5? Teixeira being higher then Prince? Who ever wrote this article should be fired.

Bleacher Report sucks at this. Two of the top 3 catchers in the game (Yadier Molina and Matt Wieters) aren't even on the list. Why is Alex Rodriguez on this list? Is there that bad of a lack of third basemen? No, Chase Headley is more deserving. Granderson doesn't deserve to be the #2 center fielder, his defense is horrible and the only thing he does is hit homers.
