| The likelihood of the players denoted with asterisks being elected to the Hall at some point is certainly debatable. It's hard to say what sort of support Clemens and Bonds are going to get until they appear on the ballot, but both are likely to receive quite a bit, and statistically speaking, each should be in. Larkin, Raines and Morris have all received substantial enough support that makes it likely they will be voted in eventually. Biggio, Glavine, Smoltz, Maddux, LaRussa and Johnson are all shoo-in's once they are eligible. Apologies to Rafael Palmeiro, Mark McGwire, Pete Rose and others that appear in this set that have an argument of being inducted, but none are likely to be elected as of today. |
