Pretty close, I did it backwards and ran out of time before I got halfway through NFL.

you should accept bucs, dbacks, and maybe even avs

for sure on blitz quizzes you need to accept abbreviated nicknames. Bucs is an absolute must. Pats, dbacks, yanks, avs, wings, bosox, chisox, pens, etc should be as well.

i disagree about accepting shorter names...i think the point of a blitz quiz is not just to see what you know but also how fast you can type...

You can rate me down on this all you want, but the original intention of 60 second blitzes was to take a standard Sporcle quiz and limit the time down to a minute to see how many people could get. Not every quiz with a one minute time limit is a 60 second blitz.

I agree that short-time quizzes need to accept abbreviated names, especially with ones that are more common anyway. At least as many people say "d-backs" as diamondbacks when they refer to the team in regular conversation.

at least say that no abbreviations are accepted and you have to write out the full nickname. im blaming having to backspace on dbacks and bucs and retype as why i missed 4.

@mtlynch13: Kings have won since your comment, and Angels are an LA team (at least as much an LA team as the Pats are a Boston team). That means six for LA.

I'd like to think that I really know my sports (including my fave, hockey) but I cdn't get more than 22; maybe it's just envy but I wonder how many people go to the web, print out the diff. categories and then type incredibly fast. Secretly, has anyone else ever had the same thought?

The results clearly indicate where hockey ranks in popularity among the "Big 4" sports. I'm just enjoying the short break from having to hear about it on SportsCenter.

i agree Ibarez, however Hockey is in the last column, which could also be why not many hockey teams are answered.

I like quizzes that are fun. This sounds fun except for the time limit. I'd be hard pressed to get all of these in if I had them memorized. I didn't even try.

@floydpink I would assume that the reason why the Angels are listed as Anaheim (and the Marlins as Florida) is because that's what they were known as THEN.

Loved typing all 4 of my Boston teams :), and 1 minute is fine, did it with 11 seconds left, not trying to brag, just saying, its more than doable.

@Ibarez- 9 different Stanley Cup Champions out of 10 years is a more accurate reason why fewer hockey champs are being guessed, not because people hate hockey like you seem to.
