| @adamnvillani: the author of the quiz is from Slovenia. Probably this is the most common transliteration used there. I have an old chess book, still from the Yugoslav period, and it uses a similar system. The player usually known in English as Korchnoi appears as Korcnoj (with a diacritic over the c that I can't type), the name Mikhail appears as Mihail, etc. However, the author permitted several different transliterations; the answer is shown as Celjabinsk (again, with the diacritic) but you can enter Chelyabinsk. Probably the quiz maker can give a better explanation (but now it's 5.40 a.m. in Slovenia; for me it's only 1.40 a.m.) |
