| For some reason, if you type "the" Sporcle automatically gives you "and" (and vice-versa). |

| yeah my $1 bills don't have that Roman numeral on it |
 | Troublemaker: | Mar 28th, 2010 at 03:17 GMT | | 0 points |
| yes they do mrpotwtf. and it has the city and state of the federal reserve on it too which seems to be missing |
 | jamesj0324: | Mar 28th, 2010 at 19:45 GMT | | 4 points |
| The quiz states that the answers are words/numerals that are on every one dollar bill. That's why they are missing. |
 | amschwartz: | Jun 9th, 2010 at 08:15 GMT | | 1 point |
| bit hard to believe that one quarter of quiz takers were aware of the words seclorum and coeptis on the one dollar bill |
 | MileHiJo: | Jun 9th, 2010 at 15:30 GMT | | -3 points |
| I agree, amschwartz - no way that more than 20% knew coeptis without cheating. Admit it - a bunch of you looked. |

| I admit I started without looking, then I got out a dollar and wanted to see if I could find all of them |

| Some of us are just "nerdy" and really DO know all that latin Annuit Coeptus/Novus Ordo Seclorum stuff! We even know the OLD "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private and redeemable in lawful money at any Federal Reserve Bank" statement that USED to be all the Federal Reserve Notes. GREAT QUIZ!!!!!! |

| Oh. Here I was thinking it was going to be even more difficult and we'd have to name the people whose signatures are on it, too. Still didn't do as well as I'd liked. |

| I admit it, I took a dollar out and cheated all the way on this one. Fun to search for all the words, almost didn't find them all even cheating! |
 | jonesjeffum: | Nov 3rd, 2011 at 16:11 GMT | | 10 points |
| amazing how many words are on it |
 | NaturalStateReb: | Nov 3rd, 2011 at 16:20 GMT | | 13 points |
| You might want to change the title to "every one dollar bill" instead of "every dollar bill." At first, I thought I had to guess the words that were common to all dollar bills. |

| The quiz is missing two more words; "New" and "York" |
 | AlexKrycek: | Nov 3rd, 2011 at 16:59 GMT | | 13 points |
| @RaiderNation there are 11 other Federal Reserve Districts in addition to New York. All paper currency and coinage indicate in which district it was printed/minted. In other words, not ALL dollar bills are printed in New York. This quiz specifically asks word & numerals common to ALL (one) dollar bills. |
 | NatAlex92: | Nov 3rd, 2011 at 17:09 GMT | | 5 points |
| @RaiderNation Only the ones that are issued to the Federal Reserve Bank in New York have those words. There are a total of 12 banks in the Federal Reserve System. |

 | Bohannnon: | Nov 3rd, 2011 at 18:47 GMT | | 3 points |
| I love this histogram. You can clearly see the mode of people playing from memory and the mode of people who pulled out a dollar bill. However, as stated above, those who pulled out a bill couldn't find all the words, so they didn't end up in the 99th percentile mode. Cool. |

| i don't know why Osiriz was voted down for stating the obvious: this is hard for the average Canuck. I listed the obvious ones ('dollar', 'god', 'america' etc.) along with 'federal reserve' and 'washington d.c.' |

 | jamesj0324: | Nov 4th, 2011 at 06:29 GMT | | 1 point |
| The word bank is one of the harder ones to see on the $1.00 bill but it is there, right on the front. Look above the serial number on the left side. You'll see a letter in bold print which is commonly known as the block letter that corresponds to the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB). Within that circle are the words, "Federal Reserve Bank of..." |
