| Please accept also "him" (accusative) for "lo", as in "lo vi" = I saw him. "Está" is only "is", but not the plural "are". "Era" is only "was" ("yo era" = I was, "él/ella era" = he/she was), but not the plural "were". "Ha" is only "has" (auxiliary for perfect tenses, e.g. "él ha llegado" = he has arrived), but not the plural "have". As for the translation of "son", it's better if it appears as "(they) are", not just "are", because (we) are is "somos", (you, sing.) are is "eres", etc. I'm not erudite, just a native speaker. |
