I didn't know that Scandinavia and Sub-Saharan Africa could be together at the top of any quiz. Very interesting.

This is just guessing random countries. If you include countries that are not democratic (like Angola and Belarus), it is meaningless. It is not as if women (or men for that matter) are empowered in many of these countries to run for office and determine their own futures. If there aren't free and fair elections, who cares how many of the "elected" parliamentarians are women?

I am not certain, but I think the Danish number increased after the election in September to 40-something percent. However, I can't find the right document on the website of the Danish Parliament.
