I hope you all enjoy this quiz. I welcome any suggestions to make it better. (I thought about making the questions be answered in order).

Excellent quiz. One thing, Brett Hull was actually born in Canada: http://www.hockeydraftcentral.com/1984/84117.html

Thank you Theosaurus. The resource I used about Brett Hull was apparently incorrect. I will make the change to this immediately. http://statshockey.homestead.com/pro/americanbornplayers.html

generally an outstanding quiz, though i didn't care much for the gimme questions (tebow, lin, soccer, etc.) that really didn't seem to fit in with the rest. also, in my opinion, you shouldn't accept abbreviations for countries in the olympics/world cup questions. i believe i got at least 3 of them accidentally, though the only one i can specifically recall was getting "brazil" for trying to type in "brady".
Mar 5th, 2012 at 01:19 GMT
Swills13, I agree with you about the abbreviations. I created the quiz this way because it seems that when countries are an answer on Sporcle quizzes, people expect them to be abbreviated. I didn't want to get "beat up" for making people type out countries! If more people agree with Swills13, and myself, I will be glad to change it.

I think part of the confusion with Brett Hull is that he represented the United States internationally. I didn't even realize that he had been born outside the US until earlier today.

The "Track and Field" category should probably be renamed "Olympics"
Mar 5th, 2012 at 11:36 GMT
Also in the USA-born NHL players... it should be Phil (H)ousley, not Rousley.

Should the hit for the cycle one say "20th century"? The answers all have 1900's as the years
Mar 5th, 2012 at 19:42 GMT
Spybloom, the 21st century began January 1, 2001. So those teams that were listed (in the 1900's) still have not had a player hit for the cycle in the 2000's. (21st century).

You make some the city and others the team name. Just accept both. Also, Linsane is a nickname for Lin.
Mar 5th, 2012 at 23:09 GMT
BigPapi34, The reason I do not accept both city names and team names on a few of the questions is because a few of the answers contain the same city or team. I wanted to avoid someone typing "Cleveland" and get an answer to multiple questions.
Mar 5th, 2012 at 23:12 GMT
BigPapi34, I took your suggestion and added Linsane to the 7 nicknames that were already in the quiz.
