The resolution passed, officially recognizing Palestine as a member state of UNESCO (pending some paperwork that the Palestinian delegation will fill to formalize the membership), with 107 'yes' votes, 14 'no' votes, 52 abstentions, and 21 absent (incl. South Sudan). A note on the source: while this is not generally a website recognized as a supremely accurate source on Sporcle, I chose it as it was one of the few locations on the net where one can see clearly and simply the list of countries voting each way. The list is in the comments section on the page, relatively high up. For those looking for more official documents, there are some available on the net, especially at UN sites, but they are difficult to find and access. Rest assured the information provided by this source is definitely accurate, as I have cross-checked at least the 14 nations on this quiz multiple times. I hope you all enjoy the quiz!

Also, this quiz does not aim to push any particular political agenda or opinion. It simply seeks to provide some objective food for thought, fun and procrastination.

Wow. Surprised that Federated States of Micronesia isn't on here, but their voting record on the Palestinian issue helped me get all the other Pacific countries. Surprised by the European nations and Canada being on the list.

Palestine is not a country, they can't just claim to be a country
