	Elagabalus was the name given to that emperor long after his death. El Gabal was the name of the deity.

	Regardless, the deity of his religion was El Gabal. If you're bringing up imperial cult, it's a much bigger can of worms.

	This is not an imperial cult. Elagabalus is an accepted variation of the name El Gabal. Both the Oxford Classical Dictionary and A History of Rome by M Cary and HH Scullard give Elagabalus as a Latin version of the deity's name. In this quiz, Elagabalus is referring to the deity, not the emperor. I did set it so that it now displays El Gabal rather than Elagabalus, though, if that makes you feel better, but it will still accept Elagabalus and Elah-Gabal as correct answers.

	Fair enough. My OCD is at home, so I'll check that later. It's strange that Lewis and Short only give the emperor as a translation for Elagabalus, but they are by no means the end all of dictionaries.

	So I've check my OCD, and while you are correct about the Latinized name of El Gabal, it's curious that it refers to the deity as "Elagabalus deus Sol Invictus." Seems like that would point to the religion of Aurelian that you have. Is there a separation at some point or are your last two entries basically identical?
