| Actually, there are a couple of news sites on the US list. Go.com is the official domain name of all of the Disney-owned media sites. So ABC News and ESPN are officially "abcnews.go.com" and "espn.go.com," which means that they are covered within the counts for go.com. Plus, Yahoo, AOL and MSN all have national news on them, so people can read the news there without having to go to a news website. Add in the fact that there are (at least) three major U.S. news websites to divide up the traffic, and you have lots of reasons why the US doesn't have a "news" website in the top 15, while other countries do. |
