You sure this is average annual value and not simply last year's salary?

For example, Beltran's contract was 7 yrs./$119 mil ($17 mil/year) and Sabathia's was 7 yrs./$161 mil. ($23 mil/year) but Beltran made more than Sabathia in 2009 since most of these contracts are backloaded.
