	I know she's not listed in the source for some reason, but Mariah Carey has 10 multi-platinum albums as well: 1. Mariah Carey (9x), 2. Emotions (4x), 3. MTV Unplugged EP (3x), 4. Music Box (10x), 5. Merry Christmas (5x), 6. Daydream (10x), 7. Butterfly (5x), 8. #1's (5x), 9. Rainbow (3x), 10. The Emancipation of Mimi (6x). Unless this doesn't count EPs maybe?

	I'm pretty sure Vanilla Ice isn't ten albums shy of the list. Unfortunately, I'm fairly certain To The Extreme is multi-platinum.

	@Pikknikk: I was able to find only 7 multi-platinum albums for Jay-Z searching their database: Hard Knock Life 2, VOL. 3...Life & Times of S. Carter, Dynasty, Blueprint, Blueprint 2, Black Album, & Kingdom Come. He could reach that figure soon, but not yet.

	I wonder how many Stevie Wonder would have if Motown had allowed the RIAA to certify their sales prior to 1979. "In Square Circle" (1985) sold 2 million, and they've retroactively certified "Songs in the Key of Life" as multiplatinum as well, but I can't help think that albums like "Talking Book" and "Innervisions" would've made the cut, too.

	it appears the RIAA list is not comprehensive. a couple that are not on that list that should be - Van Halen, with 12 multi-platinum albums, and Metallica and the Eagles, both with 11. And Michael Jackson has 9 so he should be a bonus.

	@Blink: Good work! Yeah, you're exactly correct on Van Halen, Metallica & Eagles. And what you say on Michael Jackson also makes sense, but for some bizarre reason if you use the RIAA "Searchable database", nothing shows up for him. I tried "Michael Jackson", "Jackson, Michael", even just "Jackson". That gives me one "Jacksons" album, but not even any of the aforementioned "Alan Jackson". I searched by album for "Thriller" and got nothing, and searching for "Bad" gave a set of different albums with "bad" in the title, such as "Bad Company". @Catgal: Remarkably, Queen are only certified for 6 multi-platinum albums.
