| "Vegetables" has a LOT more translations: vegetales, hortalizas, verduras... "zucchini" is calabacines rather than calabacitas, beans are more often called frijoles or judías, there is NO accent on "sandwich", "bowl" is "tazón" rather than "plato hondo" (deep plate), "copa" is wine glass rather than cup, which is "taza", "pepper" is pimienta, pimentero is the pepper shaker, "cuenco" is a nondescript bowl, it would have to be "cuenco de ensalada" or something similar, "se ralla el queso" means "the cheese is grated", not "grate the cheese", which would be "rallar el queso", there are more translations for "jar", such as frasco. All this, and there's REALLY no need to force the articles. I fail to understand why every english-spanish quiz does that. |
