I like the idea, but unfortunately not everyone will 'play' this quiz as you meant it to.

What if I was from Nigeria or the Dominican Republic? This would fail because I would get Niger or Dominica respectively while trying to type where I'm from.

I don't feel like we're doing enough as a community to build quizzes that are geared towards our apparently existent East Timor population.

Very clever way to do a survey. Sorry to see that some folks spoiled it. And antiyon, the question isn't "of what country are you a citizen." It's "what country are you from."

@kristen, I'd venture to guess a lot of that 33% knew they were doing it wrong and simply didn't care.

Being from the Dominican Republic, I find this quiz highly offensive; before I can finish typing the name of my proud homeland, that lesser place known simply as "Dominica" automatically forces itself to be my answer. Shame!

@HollywoodLeo: If you're from Nigeria, you've got bigger problems than Sporcle. Like trying to figure out how to get the vast fortune of your late father, the former president of Nigeria, out of the country.

It might be an idea to increase the time to the max, so that people guessing countries would be reasonably likely to get nearly all. That would remove the statistical uncertainly introduced by getting only 30 or so.
