@Wolfie He technically held a separate position from Pershing and Washington, "General of the Army" (note the singular). It wasn't a matter of changing the title, it is separate. But I'll make Grant a bonus.

Dwight Eisenhower was also a five star general and was supreme commander of all allied forces in Europe during WWII, great quiz though don't get me wrong

Missed 5. Garner, and ALL of the alliterative presidents--I just froze and thought of Chester Alan Arthur, and got no further.
