	greasytony, It's a sporcle quiz, not a detailed assessment of the greatest players of the past ten years.

	not to pile on, but any stat that suggests David Eckstein is better than Paul Konerko or Raul Ibanez (going by similar number of PA) is...dubious to say the least.

	@pzummo: I merely made a comment that the stat is flawed. If people choose to debate that point, I'll happily defend my stance. I assume that anyone taking this quiz has at least a slight idea of what WAR is and has an opinion of its validity, but I challenge even its staunchest defenders to make an argument that JD Drew (and David Eckstein, as has been pointed out) is really that good. And yes, it's a Sporcle quiz, but the idea of a comments section is to share opinions. The idea of voting someone down who doesn't agree with an opinion, especially about a theoretical stat such as WAR that can't truly be quantified, really needs to get a life.

	@greasytony--the negative reaction to your comments could relate to the fact that the quiz doesn't purport to list the greatest or best baseball players of the decade. It just lists those who have the highest WAR over that period. And there's nothing wrong with the stat itself, unless you're inferring that somehow "Wins Above Replacement" is the same as "best." But that would have to do with how you choose to interpret the stat. Seriously, whining about the appropriate place in the statistical universe for WAR is fast approaching "but he was on steroids!" as one of the most annoying comment topics on sporcle baseball quizzes.
