Shouldn't really count Aikman as being an Oklahoma Sooner. He transferred to UCLA, that's where he hit it big and got drafted #1 overall by the Cowboys.

Agree with the Dirty Creole. Aikman should not be included with Oklahoma. He threw 67 passes as a Sooner.

Have to agree with the others, as it's presently worded. One way around it would be to change "came from" to "once attended each of the given…"

Where's Purdue? 36676 34837 28711 Their 3rd guy has more passing yards than any of your school's #3.

Also came here to wonder where the Cradle of Quarterbacks is. That would be Purdue.

Agree with adding Purdue- maybe drop Florida since they have nobody over 10,000 yds. Fun quiz though!!

Yeah Purdue is definitely deserving, good cases for other schools too but regardless of omissions this is a great quiz. I'd love to see different variations of a quiz like this, it's an excellent basis.

Keep Florida. Purdue has the quarterbacks but zero on-field success at the collegiate level. ;) (The winky face means this is a comment made in playful jest, Sporclers.) Good quiz.

Given that Florida has been dominant for as long as I've been conscious of college football, their numbers on this quiz are unimpressive.

What a fun concept for a quiz. Also a good mix of ones I did not get where I slapped my head (can't believe I fofrgot that) or shrugged my shoulders because I never knew and never cared. Now I have some cranial bruising but very limber shoulders. And most importantly, learned a lot.

But Peyton is still an active quarterback. He still plays in the league, he's just inured

Should have included Purdue on this one, 3 top 50 career passers (Brees, Everett, Dawson) 3 super bowl winners (Brees, Dawson, Griese), 3 current starters (as of week 5, Brees, Orton, Painter) Most NFL games started at QB by alums.

Florida players traditionally have played under offenses that can be described as anything BUT pro style. Between Spurrier (who was an utter failure as an NFL coach for exactly that reason) and Urban Meyer, their systems were never really designed to produce successful pro quarterbacks. Jury is still out on Tebow, but I just don't think he has an adequate NFL arm.

@MartinSheen, somehow because yardage is the measure here, adding Purdue wouldn't even include HOFer and multiple super bowl winner Bob Griese (as you noted above). Now THAT is a successful QB school. But let's not mention Curtis Painter, shall we....? It won't be long before he'll lose the asterisk--they'll draft a QB, keep Manning, have Orlovsky as #3, and cut Painter. I don't see anybody picking him up.

I saw the asterik at the top of Florida and finally decided to read what it signaled... then I quit trying to spell Danny Wuerfel.
