Bryan and Roosevelt will give you at least one candidate in all but three of the 13 elections between 1896 and 1944 (all but 1916, 1920 & 1928. Total 11 candidates in 10 elections, since TR faced Bryan in 1900). So entering just those 4 names will give you 22 answers out of 156. The other name since 1856 that will give you more than three answers is (Adlai) Stevenson (grandfather and grandson) in 1892, 1900, 1952 & 1956. A VP who runs for re-election and then for President can give you 3, e.g. Gore, Mondale, Nixon. |
