You're missing the Canadiens and Red Wings...and those are just the ones that I noticed right away.

impy02: The point of the quiz, I'm guessing, isn't to name EVERY team that existed in 1957, just to find the ones that existed in a mindfield of ones that didn't.

@sox_fan is right.
I am about to replace the Detroit Pistons.

The San Francisco Giants existed in 1957, they just didn't play any games until 1958 (they physically moved the team after the 1957 season, but before 1/1/58). Technical nitpicking, I grant you, but still the quiz isn't entirely accurate.

@BrentH How about now? I edited the "Can you pick..." bit.

Black Hawks should be one word "Blackhawks"

bwood, sox, and hscer: in that case, should the Black[ ]hawks not be on this quiz? Extremely picky, but a quiz like this kind of needs to be.

I don't understand why you wouldn't put all the teams that existed in 1957. There were only 42 teams in total. As for the description, it says in the last 60 years. 1957 was 55 years ago.

I think this would have been better as a type-in-your-guess game.

@gopackgo52- the point of the quiz was not to name all teams from '57- just to pick out the correct teams from the minefield

The Syracuse Nationals are very frustrating for a Washington Nationals fan like me who knows that the Nats' AAA team is in Syracuse and therefore overthinks that one as a trick answer.

The Washington "Senators" were the Washington Nationals. They were also known as the Washington Statesmen. The name officially and legally from 1905 to 1959 was the Washington Nationals, which is why the current team in Washington is the Nationals as well.

Wait. The Raiders started in the 60s in Oakland. They were in Los Angeles in the 80s, and then moved back to Oakland.

I'm not sure I've even bragged before in a Sporcle comment, but getting 100 percent on my first attempt makes me very proud. Oh wait, it's because I'm old. Never mind.
