Georgia and Armenia are generally not included as part of Europe on Sporcle

@Yabot - there are two official capitals for the Netherlands. Amsterdam and The Hague. @Yaxley - Some class it as being in Europe, some as in Europe. I class it as being on the border. @Xcaddon - Again, some class Georgia and Armenia as being European, some class it as being Asian. I couldn't win either way.

@xcdannon @hpc1989 I live in The Netherlands and there is only one capital. Our government is located in the Hague, but that doesn't matter for our capital.

In every other country in the world, if the government is located in one place and the judiciary elsewhere, then it's considered to have two capitals. Also, most sources tell me that there are two capitals, so I'm going to use the sources used by millions over the opinion of one Dutch person.

I don't know what sources you are using, but although The Hague is indeed the seat of government, Amsterdam is by law the official capital. Anyway, in every sporcle quiz concerning capitals Amsterdam will be accepted as the Dutch capital and The Hague won't.

Seems I can't win - if I hadn't written in the game notes "use Amsterdam as the capital for the Netherlands" I'd have received lots of comments saying that the Hague is also the capital. If I had written the note (like I have) then I'd have received comments from people saying that Amsterdam is the only capital.

While i understand about the confusion that may arise from different people's opinions and Georgia and Armenia, (and possibly Amsterdam, not aware of the situation there myself) you should generally just use the Sporcle standard. According to that, Georgia and Armenia are in Asia. And Tirane should also be accepted for Tirana.

I've never heard of "the Sporcle Standard" - I'll have to look out for it somewhere. I'm not exactly a seasoned quiz designer.
