You should accept Liège without accent, Bruges, and preferably Dutch names to the cities as well.

And Mechelen is bigger than Aalst, it has over 80.000 inhabitants..

Do you want to consider international/historical spellings? I'm used to "Ghent", which may not be correct any more, but it's how Americans used to spell it.

You should accept Louvain for Leuven. Indeed, I think you should accept French, Dutch and English alternate names for all cities, where they exist.

Agree that Ghent, Gand (French spelling), Bruges, and absolutely Liege minus accent should be accepted.

I even tried "Luik" and didn't get it to work. But I see now this was an ancient quiz and probably orphaned...
