You have Iraq twice. Good quiz otherwise.

The definition of the Middle East that I'm most familiar with doesn't include the -istans, but it does include Egypt...

@hkw5: and the map is very nice, crisp and clear. It's also well-labeled. It seems to me this quiz is all about naming the countries on the given map. The author picked a simple name for the countries on the map, namely "Middle Eastern countries". He could have made the title even more descriptive: "Western Asia and parts of Central and Southern Asia" but I can understand why he went with the simpler designation. In any case, since the player is given a map there can be no doubt in the player's mind which countries are included in the quiz and which aren't. I think the list of countries that comprise the Middle East is not universally agreed upon. Were the map not included that vagueness would have been problematic. With the map I don't think it's a serious problem.

I liked this one because it required me to know the specific location of each country. Some sporcle geography quizzes allow you to name countries without knowing precisely where they are.

Nice, I would shave off a couple minutes. I am no genius, I type like a child and took my time ...I still had over 4 minutes left. But I have no problem with the map, everyone has their own definitions and as stated by another, the map leaves zero confusion, so well done! (now shave off a few mins and it gets even better)

Um, the Middle East ends at Iran. Don't excuse or perpetuate ignorance.

The Middle East is an arbitrary definition. Some include Turkey, some include Armenia/Georgia/Azerbaijan, some include Pakistan/Afghanistan/stans.... If we look at what Middle East means... it is everything between Europe and the Far East (East Asia/India/South East Asia)..

perpetuate ignorance? Because this person does not happen to go along with YOUR view, he is "ignorant"? He did make mention of the map he found, seems like he is aware of the MANY interpretations of what constitute the "mid east" and it is YOU who fail to learn from others, that sir is IGNORANCE!

according to wiki, the Middle East does end at Iran, but it does include Egypt. The "Greater Middle east" includes Afghanistan and Pakistan as well as all Northern Africa, then add the Central Asian nations Wiki mentions is often considered part of the greater mid east. So this map aint perfect but it does seem nothing can nor will be "perfect" unless it happens to agree with CoolBeans I suppose?

It's a good quiz but it's hard to pin a definition down on this area. It's
almost
the Middle East, the Near East, West Asia, the Arab World, the Ummah/Muslim World, OIC, Arab League or Greater Persia... but not quite.

@CuboneKing: I completely agree. And anyway, since when has Kyrgyzstan been part of the 'Middle East'.
