| The main problem I see is the number of omissions. Just from the top of the head, there was a large Ukrainian batallion in south-east Iraq; Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian and Spanish forces there early after 2003, though all withdrew within a few years (the presence of the large Spanish force of course was a major factor that led to the defeat of the Aznar government in the 2004 elections); a small Singaporean force; and most controversially, a small force from the Japanese Self-Defense Forces in Samawa, in southern Iraq. I think a bit more research is necessary, I'm afraid! |
