CC must get more run support than A.J., because CC has clearly won more games than A.J. these past couple of years. And to Mr. Rivera, well done, now there should be no debate about who the best closer in history is.

@Brett not just run support, but it obviously helps that he also allows far fewer runs than Burnett, right?
@hipolito7 Thanks for adding the tag, I made this a curator pick so we'll see if it can't get some good exposure.

hscer: I think his point was that Sabathia has many more wins than Burnett, but the totals counted on this quiz are about even- meaning that Sabathia's wins were less likely to be save situations (read: blowouts)

@Brett11: CC is a workhorse. He'll throw CG's many times. However the only pitcher I know of on the Yanks that gets more run support than CC is Phil Hughes

somebody knocked me off a point for the Irabu quote. It's from Frank Costanza, who randomly stands up during the Seinfeld final episode trial and yells that out at George Steinbrenner. I just always thought that was hilarious, that his son would be on trial, and that's what Frank Costanza was angry about.

I got as many in the bottom 10% Guessed Right as I did in the top 30%. That's how you forget guys like Sabathia, Wells and Cone ans still end up in the top 90th percentile.

@MisterF Right, yeah, but that would be a matter of both run support and run prevention, not just run support, is all I'm saying. Sabathia is obviously better at the latter, which would lead to fewer save situations even if they both always got 5 runs of support every game. Suekoff16 also makes a good point about the complete games.

So, basically name every starter for the Yankees over the last decade and a half, lol Rivera's a beast and should be a first ballot Hall of Famer
