You should in any case be consistent: either accept only Malé and Lomé, or accept Male and Lome as well.

I wasn't too familiar with the African capitals, but I managed to power through all of them. Nice quiz!

Bonn popped into my mind, too. Please to explain why Sana only qualifies as a bonus answer? Perhaps multiple apostrophes count as a fifth letter?

@Scout_Number_4: The capital of Yemen is most often transliterated Sa'ana. Cool quiz! I managed to get the last one (Doha) with about 10 seconds left.

These things really should accept Kyiv as an alternate spelling for Kiev. It's even the official State Department spelling.

I'm surprised the Sporcle admins haven't added the accent to Malé. It's not -that- big of a deal, but should it happen that someone clicks on the Wikipedia link, it leads you to the male sex now.

Got 9 on the first try and the 4 I missed were 4 of the top 5 (Oslo, Bern, Rome and Kiev). Did the Capitals of the World quiz so many times that I now think instinctively of the obscure rather than the common ones.

Surprised Nuuk, Greenland isn't at least a bonus answer; it's not quite sovereign, I realize, but it is autonomous/home rule, often erroneously considered a nation, and its capital city clearly meets the criteria for entry.
