The data is provided by city mayors and is based on the urban areas. Bonus answers are those cities with more than word in their name and that are part of a combined urban area i.e. Minneapolis/St. Paul. Hope you enjoyed it.

Yeah I tried to make a quiz with citymayors once and the information was completely off. I liked this quiz but it's too easy; it should be rank in population insted of country. Very cool, though.

What about Santo Domingo? It had 900,000+ populaton in 2002 and a metro fo over 2 million!

Novgorod...that's why I can't get it. I always type Novogrod. Those Russian and Ukrainian cities throw me off all the time!

Was surprised Hong Kong didn't show up. And tried both Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhniy Novgorod. Both should be acceptable spellings.

I think it would be better if you shortened the list but didn't reveal the countries that they were in. Also - Quezon City? Frankfut-am-Main?
