	Xylo, I was referring to the two people in the archived comments who said both choice should be accepted. Sorry you couldn't figure that out. Nuclear, even NBA.com credits Bing as the scoring leader for 1967-68 http://www.nba.com/history/season/19671968.html

	The NBA used the leader in total points scored as the scoring champ until the 1969-70 season. Therefore Dave Bing was the NBA scoring champ in 1967-68 and Max Zaslofsky was the scoring champ in 1947-48. The two lists, otherwise, line up pretty well. In 1984-85, if total points had been used, Bernard King would not have won as he only played about 55 games. But this lost is for scoring average and is therefore perfectly correct.

	How did 72% get Abdul-Jabbar in 70-71 but only 71.9% get him in 71-72!? What happened to that other 0.1%?

	@sammyhain2364, you're arguing against the weight of Sporcle on the "Alcindor" and "Jabbar" points. The standard for (almost) all the other NBA quizzes is to accept those answers. Since people depend on the "conventional" practices here when they answer, and that one's pretty entrenched, it's not going to change, regardless of whether you're technically correct.

	Nice quiz! Surprised Malone never made it, considering he's 2nd all time in points. Also interesting to note that not one Celtic made the list, perfect example of how there's no I in team, unless you're MJ lol.

	I find this an amazing stat: Out of the 63 seasons covered, a mere 7 players account for over half of the scoring leaders (34/63). That's domination. I wonder if the same would hold true in the NFL, NHL or MLB?

	Chamberlain never had the team around him that Russell had in Boston. He was just a dominant force and changed the game individually in so many ways. The season he averaged over 50 was the year he dropped 100 in a game.

	Part of the reason why we don't see 50ppg scorers anymore is because the pace of the game (as measured by possessions per game) is a lot slower today. Back when Wilt was putting up those eye-popping numbers, his team averaged close to 130 posessions per game. Today, the average team has about 93 possessions per game, and the fastest paced teams in the league (think of Golden State or Phoenix) will still only average around 100 possessions per game.
