| I greatly enjoyed this quiz (and getting all the answers) but I don't think your source's concept/definition of a TV station is very clear. In countries like Japan, Canada, Brazil, India or the US it adheres to my idea of it. In most (Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Mongolia, The Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine) the numbers include re-transmitting channels that merely repeat the entire programming of national stations. In others yet (China, Germany, Mexico) it seems to include stations affiliated to national networks which are absent from other countries' tally and disregard local stations which make the bulk of France, Italy Malaysia and Thailand's totals.
Still, not terribly easy to guess but very entertaining and according to your source spot on. I would suggest a more independent, better yet coherent source, though :-)
