| 1) If you go to the site of the Statistisches Bundesamt Deutschland—the source of your image, too—in their discussion of methods they'll point out that these figures don't include people who are foreign-born, but have a German passport, either solely or in addition to their other national passport. You might want to take this into consideration when phrasing your quiz question; unfortunately the other choice, people mit Migrationshintergrund, is obviously too broad for what you want to do. 2) Your source only segments out some of the EU-27. Austria, for instance, again according to DESTATIS figures, had 174,548 citizens resident in Germany as of the end of 2009; even cutting out everyone who had been there less than four years, that still leaves about 156,875—high enough to place comfortably within your table. It's a good quiz, but unfortunately your source doesn't go into as much fine detail as it could, and it might be worth downloading the PDF on DESTATIS—Ausländische Bevölkerung, Fachserie 1 Reihe 2. |
