good quiz, but Ichiro is the most overrated hitter of our generation. Don't get me wrong he's a very good all around player. But he doesn't walk, swings at bad pitches to rack up hit totals, and he has no power. Any shmuck who walks 80 or 90 times and hits 30 homers is a more valuable hitter than Ichiro Suzuki.

This is good. I think the rating would be higher if you did not have to answer in order, but that's your call. Also, what's your source on this?

In 9 1/2 seasons Ichiro has: 10 All-Star appearances, 9 All-Star starts, 9 200+ hit seasons, 9 .300+ BA seasons, 9 25+ SB seasons, 9 Gold Gloves, 3 Silver Sluggers, 2 Batting Titles, 1 MVP, 1 ROY, .332 Lifetime BA. Overrated? He's almost underrated. Think if he was playing in New York or Boston.

Sinatra has a point. Ichiro may be getting on base via basehit more than anyone else, but when you throw in walks, he falls way behind. His career-high is 315 times on base in 2004 (225 singles), but he also had the most plate appearances in AL history (762), and that was the only year he's ever posted a .400 OBP.

why is everyone only complaining about ichiro being overrated and not pete rose. ichiro is one of the top defensive outfielders in recent years, much better defensively than rose was, and ichiro also uses his speed as a much greater weapon than rose did (compared to their eras. i know that ichiro's era steals more bases than rose's did) ps:@rk559's first comment: the reason why i required answers in order is because it would be two easy otherwise. even if i would shorten the quiz to only one minute, 80% of people would answer ichiro and rose and get 12 of the 16 answers

Move it up to 100 seasons, so I can get a higher percentage.
