Glad I am not in the minority when missing Whitey Herzog, who apparently managed the Rangers, albeit for part of one season. I tried Ozzie Smith the Stan Musial.

@bmo1616, the crime is that people being paid to play a game are constantly complaining about the contract they signed and worrying too much about the other guy. The other crime is owners who don't put a dime back into their organization and cry about the competitive imbalance.

You may want to put in "2011" pitching wins leader, home runs leader, etc. I originally thought you were looking for franchise leaders.

Whitey Herzog? It's been that long since the Cards had a HOF'er?

Ouch. My condolences to C.J. Wilson on becoming the first pitcher in MLB history to lose a game in the Division Series, the League Championship Series and the World Series and be the losing pitcher in the All Star Game all in the same year.

@Tony A, that's a fair point but no matter what the profession, the best "worker" and longest tenured person who has helped your "business" succeed for over a decade should be the highest paid.

@Tony_A It's a crime that the meme about overpaid athletes lives on. They are the only ones producing anything of value for sports organizations that rake in millions of dollars every year. Wanting to get paid fairly for the revenue you generate is nothing if not reasonable.

the name of the stadium is Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.. It's been 2004 since it was just called the Ballpark in Arlington. In between it was Ameriquest Field. So, you are incorrect to type just "the Ballpark in Arlington."

It really should specify 2011 for each category leader. I typed in Bob Gibson and then sat scratching my head for about 30 seconds.

@bmo: Keep in mind that the Cardinals offered Albert Pujols enough money for him to be their highest paid player and he didn't accept. @Andrew: Blyleven was inducted as a member of the twins. @everyone: "ballpark in arlington" has been accepted for a long time, and "ballpark at arlington" is now accepted as well. Otherwise the format (single season leaders etc) is taken directly from last year's quiz.

Yeah, sure, RPassa, and you played it 29 times until you got them all right. If you're going to brag about how fast you finish every quiz, which will only get you pointed down anyway, you should probably uncheck the little box that says "allow anyone to see my stats."

"The Rangers Hall of Fame one is wrong. Should be Bert Blyleven." He means inducted as a Ranger. Blyleven went in for the Twins.
