If anything, the fact that one has been published every single day for so long now makes coming up with new and original ideas for them even harder. 	Actually, Star Wars was originally released under the name "Star Wars". It wasn't initially known that it would spawn an entire series of films. It wasn't until later releases that they rebranded the film "Episode IV" or "A New Hope"/

	@sixseven: actually is was known. After George realized the whole saga wouldn't stand a chance of working as one film he split it into six and always had the intention of making IV-VI. The reason why the first was only named Star Wars was because he had to operate under the assumption that he wasn't going to be able to make V and VI so he made Episode IV so that it would work as a stand alone movie.

	Right, so it wasn't known. Lucas always wanted to make more but if Star Wars had flopped there wouldn't have been sequels.

	@estivator: The Conversation wasn't Ford's first film. It wasn't even his first major film. American Graffiti came out the year before.
