Is the population question regarding the UK? If so, 65 million is the current figure.

When you say "your safe with $1000" or anything like that, it should be "you're."

there are a lot of dumb questions that have nothing to do with geography. there's a difference between knowing a lot about the world and memorizing the almanac, and the latter is required for this quiz

Asking if Zambia is the last country alphabetically seems a bit silly when you've listed Zimbabwe as an option a few questions before.

The question about how fast the world spins needs a reference point. If you are on the poles it is very low, but at the equator it is about 1670 km/hr, so both of those answers are possible.

$5000 and $10,000 questions are much harder than the next four that come after them, or so I think.

Having both the "households" and "population" questions for the UK is a little dull. (Also, having the correct answer be the middle one of each is very predictable.) Also, as others have noted, the "how fast does the world spin" question needs a reference point (presumably the equator is where your numbers are based on, but you need to spell it out.) And it's just a dumb way of asking "What is the circumference of the earth", anyway.

I love these quizzes! I think you should specify that you're talking about the Town/City of Niagara Falls, because the falls themselves are in the US, the Canadian falls are called the Horseshoe falls.

Asking the population of GB with choices (55/60/65 million) so close together is way too specific. If the choices were something like 105 million, 60 million, 25 million, and 5 million, then the question would actually test useful knowledge.

If you type 12a right at the beginning you get £1 Million instantly, not a very well made quiz.

[sarcasm] Yeah coz if you take a quiz like this, you instantly look for the cheat so it doesn't test you at all [/sarcasm] But I think its good to have a quiz which isn't so biased towards Americans for once.

As a proud American, born and bred, I heartily agree with Spectre. As much as I love my country, I'm kind of tired of all the quizzes that slice and dice U.S. state facts. It's nice to see other countries' geography in the limelight too. That said, Brits have their fair share in the Literature section, where practically every quiz seems to be on some facet of Harry Potter. (And yes I'm a Harry Potter fan, but geez!) Btw, I agree with bdm's comment on the need for a reference point in the rotational speed of the Earth. However I don't agree with comments that seem to imply that population questions are inappropriate for a geography quiz. Geography is about more than names of countries and cities.

1) on the households in the uk question, you say 'Britain'. do you mean the UK or Great Britain? 2) The speed at which the world spins depends how close to the equator you are.
