If you like this quiz, try "70's TV by Actors". Other decades can't be too far behind.

So many big 80's shows I could guess a lot of the 10 PM shows without knowing who was on them (because they were on past my bedtime!)

Moonlighting was maybe the greatest show ever.

On a scale of Roseanne Barr to Pamela Anderson I'd give Candace Cameron about a 7 and Betty White a 9.

Great cross-section of '80s TV, but the lack of Magnum, P.I. makes me cry.

Any one else type "Archie" for "Betty and Veronica"?

@WCRoentgen I did. It should be a bonus.

@multislack: except for the the fact that there was no Archie show aired in the 80s, especially in prime time.

Ms. Moon Frye's name is spelled SOLEIL (from the French for 'sun').

I was hoping The Fall Guy would be an answer. I think its theme song was about fifteen minutes long.

I'm really amazed how well I did on this one. I don't know where that information came from in the recesses of my brain. I could NOT come up with Empty Nest though. I knew the actors referenced, I could see their faces and Mulligan but could not come up with the show.

Amazing how many quality shows there were with no reality TV cluttering up the landscape. I hope scripted shows make a bit of a comeback.

You have Soleil Moon Frye's first name misspelled. It's the same as the French word for "sunshine" -- i.e., Soleil, rather than "Soliel".

Great quiz. With the recent passing of Gary, I was expecting diff'rent strokes. I guess it is a small omission.

Thanks for all of the comments, and I hope you liked the quiz. I can't change Ms. Moon Frye's name now. I hope the Sporcle folks will fix it for me. Thanks to @marzoz10 and @Todd1952SF for letting me know about the error. Sorry about that.

@addicted1 - I contributed my 70s TV by Actor quiz the day before I heard Gary Coleman passed away. Diff'rent Strokes started in 1978, so he was/is included on that quiz already.

I was surprised when it accepted Family matters, but after looking it up half of the first season was in 1989. Also, nice seeing Quantum Leap included. I used to love that show.

Well, here's what I wonder about. I didn't notice it until the answers page, but if you happened to be in a Terminator state of mind, then the "John and Sara" clue might make you think of "Connor", which is just an excellent hidden clue if it was intentional. Even if it wasn't, it impressed me, so thanks for that.

May as well have labelled the first column "Shows Ismitje Knows" and the second column "Ismitje Be Clueless Here!" :) That was fun.

Loved the "Betty & Veronica" clue. "Taurean & Kiel" would have been too easy, and not as much fun.

I would have gotten A Team if it had accepted "A Team"... Why the f*** do you need the hyphen? Also, why not accept Mamma's family in addition to Mama's? Splitting way too many hairs.
