Everybody sing along! "Now sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started in this tropic port aboard this tiny ship..."

I typed in USS Constitution and didn't get it. Is there a problem with the way you typed in the answer while you were creating it?

I tried it again and it worked. Anyone else having problems with it?

Good quiz ... though I need to be educated on how the picture of the Lusitania is specifically that ship ... it looked more modern ... I was guessing Andrea Doria just based on the picture looking nice and in color.

No HMS Victory or Dreadnought?

@TeganX7 - My guess is that it is a painting. Here's the website - http://www.cityofart.net/bship/u_boat_gallery.html. Thanks for asking. @AutonomousPlebian - I know I left out many ships. I'ts very hard to decide and I have a file full of them. Maybe someday a sequel.

Great quiz...would have liked to seen the Edmund Fitzgerald in there to represent the Great Lakes. The Edmund Fitzgerald sailed on her maiden voyage this week in 1958 but was best known for her November 10, 1975 sinking in Lake Superior.

@jaho - Sorry I didn't include your favorite. I couldn't possibly include or anticipate all of them. Keep the suggestions coming for a sequel.

Want suggestions? I don't know if there are good pictures of all of these, but I thought of these while trying for bonuses: The Good Ship Lollipop, HMS Pinafore, USS Arizona, USS Caine, Kon-Tiki, USS Monitor, the Hispaniola, the Mary Deare, the Half Moon, PT 109 and PT 73!

Good idea for a quiz. Some possible sequel suggestions; HMS Beagle, Flying Dutchman, the Monitor and the Merrimack (Virginia). Definitely plenty more well-known ships to make a sequel.

@ShortyNJ - Good suggestions. I thought of most of them, but The Good Ship Lollipop is one I didn't think of. (Sequel bound for sure). Also, I didn't think of adding bonuses. I will try to add a few if I can. Thanks for the ideas.

This quiz is just about perfect as is. There are several familiar ship names suggested, but few have that unique visual element to the average person as this ship in this quiz do. Perhaps a sequel can include an audio component: Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Sloop John B, Sink The Bismarck, PT 109, The Good Ship Lollipop.

@rockgolf - Thanks for the comments. This quiz started as a "name that ship floating on water" kind of quiz, and it became boring quick. I realized each image had to tell a story or give some kind of clue. I have a lots of ideas for a sequel, but many don't have the same visual clue. I can't even find a good image of The Good Ship Lollipop. Thanks to all for playing.

Aweomse quiz! For the sequel: maybe Rainbow Warrior and Achille Lauro? Both have stories that an image might be able to invoke, and the former is quite visually distinctive.

I never knew the boat in Jaws was called Orca. Also, I tried Old Ironsides and it didn't take.
