@caramba - Currently googling Speedo imagaes. It's not pretty! I encourage anybody looking for an idea for an image quiz to go for it!

Yikes! No one who is not a competitive swimmer or diver should be in public in one of those things. Spectacular quiz as always, Googlebird!

The picture you have for Andre 3000 is actually Big Boi.

Can you add "FDR" as an alternative to "Roosevelt"?

Just remarkable once again on your breadth and creativity.
On a personal note, I was so close. I got up to Andre 2992 then gave up.

One other note: While that's definitely Don Knotts, I'm pretty sure he's not Barney Fife in that picture. 1) He's not in his deputy outfit. 2) The picture is in color, but he was only on the show when it was B&W. 3) He looks too old in that picture. It's probably from one of his post-Andy Griffith, pre-Three's Company movies. I would have said The Ghost & Mr Chicken, but IMDb doesn't back that up. He's almost certainly wearing the same suit as on the cover of How To Frame A Figg.

@rockgolf - Thanks for the heads up. I changed the Barney image. If you look closely now, you can see Sheriff Taylor's shoulder;} @Tahnan - I added FDR. Thanks.

Dr. Who isn't acceptable? It must specifically be the 11th Doctor?

@KH29216 - Thought I put it as an alternate, but I only had Doctor Who. Thanks. Fixed.

Bowties are cool. On a similar theme, may I suggest braces/suspenders as a possibility?

Somebody's got to-- Doctor (or Dr.) Who isn't the character's name. However, anyone really upset about that (I'm not), get over it. Nice quiz!

Hanna-Barbera sure were fans of the bow tie huh?

@LTH - You are correct. I could have included more characters from Hanna-Barbera. According to Wikipedia this is why...Several early Hanna-Barbera characters wear collars and/or ties because this was a way of separating the head from the body for independent movement on two different cells, as called for in "limited" animation.

@LTH - I left out Magilla Gorilla and Mr. Jinks (among others) because I didn't want too many cartoon characters from the same era. But I thought the tidbit was interesting. Thanks for playing and commenting.

It doesn't accept Sanders for Richard Sanders. I realize that people guessing Col. Sanders may get this answer but common practice on quizzes like this is to accept last names only (as was done with every answer i got on this quiz including 3000, Clown, Duck, Bunny and Hound).

@Timberwolf: You forgot to include "Three-time..." at the front.
@Googlebird: You've done so many of these, I thought you should have a chance to play one too. So, I've created "Famous... with an eyepatch". (Sorry, boys, it does not refer to a very small bikini bottom.) Of course, you're credited right up top with the concept, and it links back to your "Top Hat" quiz. Let me know what you think.

I'd wear more bow ties to court, but I keep going for the Bond and Bogey look and ending up instead with Barney and Les. *sigh* Great quiz, googlebird! (Also- is it just me, or does the top line of this quiz prove that Pee Wee is Orville R.'s long-lost child?)
