Seemed about right. Some of the clues seem a lot harder than others - yellow submarine was pretty simple compared to "Aquaman" - maybe 'duct'? My surname is Rose and I missed that one because I've never heard of http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=irish+rose&go=Go which apparently wikipedia hasn't heard of either!
Good quiz though. I like it. 5 orbs.

Loved this quiz. Took a couple to "get" it, then it was great. Good timing in my opinion. I got aqua because of the "lung" clue. 5 oranges and nomination here too :)

Well I just became Just For Fun editor, so this will be my first Editor's Choice when I get "the keys". I was wracking my brain, wondering when Iron became a colour and why it wasn't accepted for Man and Lung.

Thanks so much. I'm glad to see someone "new" in charge with an interest in this category.

I think the solid bell curve in the percentile distribution indicates that this has just enough time, but not too much. That and a great variety of colors.

"Skeleton" is misspelled, though it doesn't detract from the quiz at all, just something you might like to know. Loved the idea! Tricky, making "gray" and "grey" separate.

@delf - Red spells his name Skelton. I know it looks odd. I had to do a double check on that when I made the quiz. Thanks for the heads up, though. I want any possible mistakes to be pointed out.

Iron would work for Lung and Man, too. And what is a Maroon Beret?

Maroon Beret? Never heard of that. You sure you're not referring to a traditional 'Red Beret' as in the British Paratroop regiment?? Otherwise, pretty good, even though I only managed to get halfway.

@strattosphere - Iron works for the hints, but it is not exactly a color, as far as I know. @betterspud - Beret is a hint for maroon. I'm not referring to any particular group, but the term maroon beret has more hits on google than red beret. Apparently, many countries use the term "maroon beret" in their military forces. It does seem to be one of the harder clues. I don't know if it's unfair. Anybody else?

Are grey and gray actually different colors, or are they just different spellings?

@cvcv11 - Grey and Gray are not different colors. They are different answers to different clues. I took advantage of the difference for variety, and almost half of the people got both. It helps build gray matter...or grey matter. I'm not sure.

I don't get how 'ruby' relates to 'bridges'. And 'emerald' for 'diamond' threw me off, though I should have got it just from 'isle' (I kept thinking green, green, green...) Liked the variety of colours, timing was just right IMO

@tankgirl73 - In the US, Ruby Bridges was the first African-American student to go to an all-white school in the South (1954). As a teacher in the US, this brave little girl's story is a part of many lessons that I teach about the history of race relations and segregation in our country. Even if you are not from the US, I'm glad that you have now heard of Ruby Bridges. Google Ruby Bridges to learn more about her story and life. OK...I'm done teaching. Thanks for your comments. It's interesting that the word color/colour gives so much information. I understand why the connection was not familiar to you. Emerald is a shape a diamond may be cut.

Skelton is not misspelled. I think the quizmaker is referring to Red Skelton, the comic actor not skeleton the bones in the closet.......

I think having both gray and grey is confusing, since they really are the same color. Why not replace one with "indigo"?

I kept typing Raspberry for Beret and wondering why it didnt work. Same with Iron for Lung and Man. and what is a Diamond Emerald? Becides the fact they are both pokemon games.

Neat quiz! I didn't get maroon either-- I was only familiar with green berets, red berets, and black berets :-( The only thing I really didn't like was having gray and grey, because once I got grey for the Goose/Earl clue, I assumed you were using the British spellings and thus was totally stumped because the only thing I could think of for the Macy clue was also grey!

I changed the clue for lung. When I made this quiz, I included both spellings of gray/grey to avoid comments like "You should accept GRAY for the Earl clue" or "Why not GREY for Macy?" The clues have specific ways for spelling gray/grey.

Some of these are not clear what they're looking for, and thus we don't know what to type in. Chocolate, for instance, is not its own color. Chocolate is brown/black. Same with lime. That is a flavor, not a color.

Once I realized that colors weren't repeated, I wasn't expecting both spellings of gray/grey to be on here.

That's stretching it like crazy. So I guess watermelon is a shade of pink, chalkboard is a shade of green, dolphin is a shade of gray, and Homer Simpson is a shade of yellow. Fact is, these are not their own colors, and we would not expect them on a quiz like this.

The "Medal or Age" comment can be Silver as well. There is the "Silver Age" of DC comics.

While it might be too big a hint, "SEAL" is an acronym and is officially written in all capitals.
