Enjoyable mind-tickler. I take lots of Sporcle geography quizzes and it went fairly fast -- after I stopped trying Brasilia, Brazil!

Bit of a shame about the double occurrence of (B, B), but still a great quiz.

Surely it should be W D C, U S A? (Or W, USA, or DC, USA, but that's another argument.

Or to be really picky, if it's "S J, A A B" it should be "W D C, U S O A"

In line with the others on this quiz it should be 'W, U S O A' or 'D C, U S O A' but definitely not 'W D C, U S' (there is no city named Washington, DC just as there is no city named Chicago, IL)

Good comments, all. Thanks. I'm changing it to match the source: W, D C, U S O A

If you are going to include the o in usoa, you should also include the o in dc (district Of columbia). This is a really great idea for a quiz, perhaps too much time but that is just my opinion.

I spent a full minute searching for Buenos Aires before I realized this wasn't a complete list. ::headdesk::

It's always seemed odd to me that Trinidad and Tobago is considered part of North America. I know that culturally it's more Caribbean, but still, it's only like ten miles from the Venezuelan coast!

Maybe I'm just bitter because I'm terrible at the Caribbean capitals, but from the stats it looks like a lot of people are using google. I find it hard to believe that 42% know the capitals of Dominica and Saint Kitts and Nevis. Nice quiz either way

Nice quiz, although could be under 3 minutes. We Sporclers know our Caribbean capitals because we play here all of the time.

Of course, the only country I get stuck on is Canada... why am I not surprised?

I gave up with only one answer that I couldn't figure out....the enigmatic O,C. Wouldn't feel so bad if I wasn't born in Canada and have lived here for 48 years now. On the other hand, I know all the Caribbean and Central American capitals without thinking about it twice....no using Google for me!

Sporcle has helped me a lot with the Caribbean capitals, but I'm still rusty on some of them. The time is fine as it is, as it allows us time to think about what we've learned here.

not that it was needed to get the answers, but was there any reason in particular you left out the conjunctions and prepositions? like port au prince was written as P P instead of perhaps PaP? or SKaN for st kitts and nevis? just curious...

"DC" should not need to be included for Washington.

@dje: probably the author followed the same rule that is used in acronyms and initialisms, where usually (although not always) prepositions and conjunctions are left out, e.g. the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is NASA and not NAaSA, the Federal Bureau of Investigations is FBI and not FBoI, etc.

I spent an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out why Brasilia, Brazil wasn't being accepted for either B,B. Guess I need to go back to the continents quizzes.

You should've just had people name the country. WTF will know the capital of some of these banana republics?

Since the directions don't mention alphabetical order... either "B B" answer should work for either location.

Haiti should either be P, H or P a P, H, not P P, H, it is three hyphenated words, so surely you should treat it as 1 initial or 3, not just two out of the three words.

Belmopan, Belize should be accepted in either of the B,B ones.

Washington must be accepted, otherwise you will need to include the districts in which the other capitals are, or change W to W D C. Those not in the US don't care much about what district Washington is in.

Putting DC in the answer for USA is like putting FD (Federal District) in the answer for Mexico.

I think I deserve a little star for spelling the capital of Honduras right the very first time. We'll just ignore all the backspacing on some of the others.
