| @jclutter: There is debate on the internet regarding Die Hard, but the overall consensus from television station programming, internet polls, respected film magazines such as 'Empire', all consider it to be a Christmas movie. I could write a lot in favor of it being a Christmas movie and also of how Christmas is not essential to the plot (no one is right or wrong). I do consider it a Christmas movie for the same reasons why "all" people consider the song "Winter Wonderland" a Christmas song - Winter Wonderland has nothing to do with Christmas, but had been adopted as a Christmas song many years ago, just like Die Hard. Gremlins - Christmas is essential to the plot from the Christmas gift of Mogwai to the important story of "Kate's" father in the chimney which moved the connection between she and Billy forward. There are also many other reasons. Thank you for playing. |
