This would be a lot more enjoyable if you added numbers to the pictures. And where is Clint Eastwood?! Classic!

Just a heads up if "you," whomever you are, decide to "play" this quiz...Thank you for ranking 7 of my quizzes a "1" all in a matter of a few moments. Second time this has happened. You have made me quit for good - thank you again.

@gloucester: There are a couple of players out there who do the same to me - don't quit because of chumps like that, your quizzes are some of the best going. Imagine there hadn't been that rating of 1, and this quiz would be rolling with a five globe average rating, evidence of how good it is!

All I could think of during this quiz was:
Bad cops, bad cops.
Bad cops, bad cops.
Springfield cops are on the take
But what do you expect for the money we make
...And so on..

@barnztorme - I know, such an iconic character. I love Eastwood and Dirty Harry, but I have seen his image on many quizzes that I decided against including it.

Thank you for the publish Sporcle - always an honor. I see that Denzel has now joined the Autobots :) Just a note to all - The original title was "Obey the Law" and the movie roles are all law enforcement, stipulated above. @Whistle11 - Stallone actually inspired this quiz, but sadly he was removed during the publishing process.

I kept writing and thinking Speed to be the Keanu Reeves film. Finally Point Break came to mind. I wished more classic 80's and 90's films and less 2000's comedies.

I agree with tvfan3. The original Shaft as pictured (played by Richard Roundtree) was a private detective. It is only the later Samuel L. Jackson version who was a cop.

@tvfan3 and beanheadmcginty - Makes sense, but the creator has mentioned that the title changed in publishing, so I look at it as Shaft '71 was enforcing the law in his own way as a private investigator. Too bad about Stallone. Why vote down Happ_H?---he's making a joke from a great quote.

Shaft doesn't belong on this quiz. I mean c'mon. It's the first line in the song: "Who's the black PRIVATE dick that's a sex machine to all the chicks?"
Even if you want to stretch the definition and say private detectives count (and considering the virtually unlimited supply of movie cops AND movie private eyes, there's really no reason to), then it's weird that there are 23 characters with badges and only one without.
