Accept "cream" for 12. Also, the picture for 4 is definitely a picture of mayo (which you accept as an answer), but you should really change it to a picture of sour cream.

@wckl...My eyes kept going weird about that image. Now I see; you are correct. I changed out the pic for a definite bowl of sour cream :) thanks

Excellent quiz. I tried spinach dip and then I tried artichoke dip. I didn't think to put them both together. You may want to put alternatives. Very creative.

Great quiz! But Please accept vine leaves for 13. And though I get that E is for eggplant parmigiana, as aubergine was accepted for 17, couldn't aubergine parmigiana also be accepted?

Am I the only one that thinks you are being a bit specific? I typed potatos, cream, marinara sauce (which I guess could be different than tomato sauce), cake, and eggs, but never thought of being that last bit more specific. Is this just me, or has this happened to others? Maybe I'm just a generic person...?

Love it also!! Lots of Fun!!! rlnintendo it actually seems to accept lots of variations. Potatoes uses and "e" which is probably why that didn't work. Marinara worked for me. I wouldn't really expect just eggs because Meringue is destroyed if any yolk gets in it. Got to have some tough ones.

good idea for a quiz, but breadcrumbs are never in authentic falafel- onion and coriander (cilantro) are normal ingredients

I always use breadcrumbs (I put them in my mix to help bind the ingredients), parsley and cilantro with my falafel. I typed cilantro, and it was accepted. I think it is very tough to say what is "authentic" these days. Very creative quiz.

Well done on the quiz, very creative. I always spelled it 'Dolmeh.' At least in my head I did...I am glad I somehow got that one anyways.

Would like to see more of these. Love putting hot peppers in my artichoke dip. NE Clam Chowder is far superior to Manhattan Clam Chowder.

New England clam chowder does NOT have pork in it. Real New England clam chowder has clams and potatoes. That's it. Somebody must have added pork to try to "improve" it, but that doesn't make it New England clam chowder.

Could you please accept 'felafel' as well as 'falafel'? I checked around and it's not just me who spells it that way. There's even a movie - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172543/ Either way, a nice novel quiz!

@imclala - New England clam chowder has a heavy cream/milk base while Manhattan has a clear broth based with tomatoes. That is the main difference in the two. The salt pork or bacon is combined with onions in the beginning of the process, which are sauteed together. It's actually very classic/traditional. I trained as a chef in Boston and Nantucket for 4 years :) However, one can do whatever they want when they cook, as long as it tastes good. @alistardragon - thank you for the spellings - I will add them.

I realize that the main difference between the two is the base of the broth. I did not say nor imply that what you pictured was Manhattan clam chowder. But I have been a New Englander all my life and have eaten clam chowder in Boston, Maine, and everywhere in between, and it has never had pork or bacon.

The pork or bacon is what gives it the hidden flavor - many chefs strain it out before putting in the clams and potatoes. It essentially gives the base of dairy and clam juice some body. Since you are from NE you probably know Jasper White - his 'Summer Shack' is amazing!! Here is his recipe: http://how2heroes.com/videos/soups-sauces/jasper-whites-clam-chowder ---I love that you take chowder seriously, as do I. Am heading back to Gloucester, MA for a couple weeks in August, where I used to live. Cannot wait to have some of my favorite foods again. I am always on the lookout for the best clam chowder. Cool quiz idea, and nicely implemented! Maybe you could add in some hints as bonus answers—e.g., telling people to be more specific if they type in something like "cheese" or "eggs."

Thank you for the publish sporcle. I hope all of you quiztakers were able to figure out the final products begin with A-F (but I have accepted alternates). The A-F letters were inside each bottom box but I've noticed that anything like that needs to be removed during publishing. Thank you all for playing and I hope you all had fun.

Good quiz but I'm curious. For column three, I typed in "cream" but it didn't take. When I typed in "milk," the correct answer appeared. Why? Why is milk acceptable but cream isn't?
