smoke monster is a person not an animal and i could add hurley bird, but the name of the actual animal was never told, it would be kind of obvious if I put Hurley bird in

Hey! Just so you know, we actually do see a centipede on the island. In season one, episode 19 (Deus Ex Machina), Locke and Boone see a centipede crawl out of the eye hole of the skeleton of Mr. Eko's brother (gross, I know).

Part of the hydra station was meant to study dolphins. It's mentioned in "A Tale of Two Cities"

@abbiemaenot I just watched the clip and you are correct. However the fact that you can remember that is astonishing, it appears on screen for barely a second! I have just changed that answer since I doubt anybody else will remember it.
