	@MichaelB76- These are taken directly from the game, so I can't really change answers much. Plus, a treasure hunt isn't a "contest" in the way that a scavenger hunt is.

	I agree about scavenger hunt. You wouldn't accept it in the game, so you'd hope someone would guess scavenger after not getting treaure right, even though I didn't.

	I'm so glad everyone is finding this to be enjoyable! @lukebradford- Thanks! As for the lines, I only kept them in because some of the taboo phrases are several words long, so erasing the lines might cause some confusion in terms of which words are meant to be phrases. I'll definitely think about how to improve the way it looks though!

	Awesome quiz!! It had 5 globes up to 30 ratings, and then the 31st brought it down to 4.87. I think someone probably just gave it a 1 to mess it up. Shame. This was a lot of fun!!

	@giveupyet- to your response to lukebradford, you could consider commas instead of lines if you wanted to change it, but i think it is fine the way it is

	@notJQ - Commas would be good, too. I'm kind of a grammar perfectionist, though, so I'd feel obligated to put an "&" between the last two items in the list, making the hints even longer. If most think it's fine as it is, I will probably just leave it. Thanks for the feedback!

	For some reason I could not think of blackmail. I guessed ransom, kidnap, kidnappers, and kidnapping. Out of desperation, I even tried Patty Hearst. All in all this game was a lot of fun. Five globes and hopefully a sequal to soon follow.

	@TexasHolders- No worries, it seems that you're not the only one! For me, the combo of "fabric" and "bear" gave it away, but that's what I like about the game- people can use or recognize different clues to get the same answer. @Im24gone- There actually is a sequel. Check out the link in the "Source" section near the top of the page.

	I kept trying kangaroo for Tasmanian Devil, then I saw cartoon, and immediately thought "Rocko's modern life." I thought for 3 minutes about what he was before typing in wallaby with 5 seconds left, sure that I had pulled it out of my ass, but I was wrong. Great Quiz.

	@giveupyet: Clever idea, and fun to boot! The devil's advocate in me is begging that I ask ... are these clues taken directly from the game Taboo? I wonder if Hasbro would think of this as copyright infringement if this quiz got the front-page treatment. Any IP lawyers in the house?

These clues are taken directly from Taboo- I'm not sure what the rules would be pertaining to publication, but if there was interest in publishing a quiz of this style, and if copyright infringement is a potential issue, I could definitely write my own clues. I used the ones from the game because that was where I got this idea initially, and that's why I made sure to include the company and game name in the title/instructions/etc.

	@giveupyet - What is the difference between a scavenger hunt and a treasure hunt in US parlence please? I thought they were the same thing. In the UK, we don't use the term scavenger hunt at all.

	@MichaelB76- Gotcha, the confusion is due to different uses between countries. I guess Taboo, at least the standard version I used, may not necessarily have the same terms/meanings as in other English-speaking countries. Generally, a "scavenger hunt" is where you get a list of objects to look for, usually things that are part of day-to-day life and not necessarily hidden per se- for example, you might be asked to find an old woman's shoe, or a brown tree leaf. In a "treasure hunt," in the literal sense of the word, you're looking for a single object that someone else has hidden; the playful version of a treasure hunt can usually involve clues telling you where to go that lead to the one final object destination. Hope this helps!

	Just to follow up the above comment, most of the words in the clue could apply to both- the word "objects" distinguishes them because you're looking for multiple things, and "contest"/"game" points toward "scavenger hunt" versus a literal "treasure hunt."

	I agree with the two comments above because a 'treasure hunt' for us is to look for one object at the end of a series of clues or by following a map. Even the 'playful' version that giveupyet describes above is a simulation of a real treasure hunt, which is definitely not a 'game' by any means. So I agree that 'scavenger hunt' works, but 'treasure hunt' really doesn't.
