If you were to rank these teams talent-wise, obivously 1992 would have to be #1. After that, I would say it goes 1996, then 2008, then 2000 followed by 2004.

@croppja - so you are saying the teams that won are better than the teams that lost?

great quiz, shows what a mess they have made of the nba and the difference in players from then to now. i can still remember all the players on the 92 team but after 96 they really start falling off and dont matter to me.

It's kind of interesting that LBJ and Wade will likely be the first ones to play on 3 Olympic teams

At first I was confused because I could've sworn Shawn Kemp and Isiah Thomas were on an incarnation of the Dream Team, then I realized they were on the 1994 team that went to the FIBA World Championships. Any chance of adding the FIBA teams?

Didn't Shawn Kemp grab himself while hanging on the rim after a dunk?

Wow, Abdur-Rahim, Vin Baker, and Mcdyess (who I am a fan of) were on that 2000 team? Ugh. But they still won. @Sub David Robinson played on 3 olympic teams, he played on the '88 team as a collegian.

You should specify that it's the MEN'S U.S. Olympic basketball team. I was guessing Lisa Leslie, Tamika Catchings, and Dennis Rodman before I realized my mistake.

Saw a few of the studs on 04 and thought "How did we not win it?" Then I saw Stephon Marbury.

Great to see the Admiral on here. Can't believe Duncan wasn't on the 2000 team. Robinson was getting old, but Duncan??

I'm tempted to upvote mcory for making me laugh so damn hard (at both his initial seeming dumbassery and the unexpected shot at Rodman). But it's also hilarious to see his comment at -9 points, so I'm not going to ruin that!

@YourMom: Your head is going to explode: I got Barkley, but I'm one of the 2.2% who somehow missed Michael Jordan, so I am feeling like a major flaming doofus right now.

@yankeespurs101: Duncan got a knee injury near the end of the 1999/2000 season, thus he missed the Sydney Olympics.

It's too bad that 04 team didn't play as well as they should have. Prime Tim Duncan, Prime Iverson and emerging all-star Stoudemire. They had length with Odom and Marion and Boozer for a stronger frontcourt. I think the biggest problem with Larry Brown was that he didn't pick up a true PG. Iverson and Marbury: two scoring PGs... recipe for disaster. Even if he was old, Sam Cassell came off an amazing year with the Twolves and Chauncey Billups just won Finals MVP. Either one would've been perfect for that team.

@Dunnski: That would work except for the fact that Baker and Marbury are on the list.
