| "Hair Bands of the 80s?" NO! The "hair band" phenomena was a loosely used term to describe the multitude of pop-metal acts that came out of Los Angeles in the mid to late 80s. It did not encompass the older British Metal bands, nor did it include bands like the Scorpions. Dire Staits and Quiet Riot whose lead singers were follically challenged. And "80s Hair Bands" certainly did not include rock bands who were big in THE 1970s! (Kiss, Ted Nugent, Led Zeppelin, Nazareth). You did manage to get a few, however: Tesla, Poison, Skid Row, et.al. There were plenty more. |
